Advantage Business Group's leading role in European UAV Initiative

 

Advantage Business Group have taken a leading role in the development of a European Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Working Group.

 

Membership of the Euro UAV Working Group is currently made up from 20 participating companies and governmental bodies from the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Belgium. Click here for a list of current members.

 

The goal of the Euro UAV Working Group is to safely integrate UAVs into civil airspace, consequently creating the opportunity for the realisation of the commercial benefits that UAV operations may offer.

 

The Euro UAV Working Group aims to demonstrate the viability of commercial UAV operations through a number of distinct demonstration programmes involving diverse commercial applications throughout Europe.

 

The next meeting of the Euro UAV Working Group is kindly being hosted by Inmarsat at their Headquarters in London on 28th and 29th September.

As part of the promotion of the Euro UAV Working Group and other related activities, Advantage Business Group has participated in a number of international conferences in the UK, Russia and the USA.

 

Most recently Bruno Esposito, Chairman of the Euro UAV Working Group gave a presentation on the integration of UAVs into civil airspace at the 2006 AUVSI Conference in Florida. The presentation slides are available for viewing here.
