The first four POSMS Conversion training courses for MoD safety managers have been successfully completed.
These two day courses were aimed at providing a working understanding of POSMS and a comparison with existing safety management systems.
The course made use of practical sessions throughout, giving delegates plenty of opportunity to apply lessons learned. The POSMS Conversion course was designed, developed and delivered by Advantage Technical Consulting and funded by the Acquisition Safety and Environmental Group (ASEG).
Approximately eighty DPA and DLO safety managers from around the country attended these courses, and due to their positive feedback, further courses are being planned for the near future. As part of MoD's wish to enable a well informed and empathetic supplier base, ASEG in partnership with Advantage Technical Consulting are also seeking to provide additional courses to industry.
