Integrated Logistics Support
|
 | In the Defence arena, Advantage has a long-established track record in the effective application of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS). This includes the establishment of both corporate and project-specific capabilities, as well as the implementation of working programmes to ensure that ILS is properly addressed throughout a projects life cycle. Incorporating our own new ideas and methods, our innovative ILS services have proved outstandingly successful in many major programmes. Advantage specialists use their in-depth knowledge and experience to apply the two key elements of ILS - Dependability & Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) - influencing the design of systems to ensure supportability and optimising life cycle costs.
ILS is the management framework aimed at ensuring that supportability and cost optimisation are given full consideration throughout the life cycle of systems, from conceptual studies through design and procurement to operation and disposal. Proper application of ILS allows a business to optimise what is often the major part of its project life cycle - through-life costs.
We support many major organisations in the development of an ILS management infrastructure and capability through a process of education, formal training and ongoing consultancy and engineering support. The elements supported are: | | | | | | The provision of an experienced ILS, LSA & Dependability management services. |
| | | | | | Providing the necessary level of expertise throughout a programme to carry out all LSA activities needed meet any programme's ILS requirements. |
| | | | Usually integrated within ILS programmes, the provision of Dependability specialists to conduct all analyses required, from the initial stages of a project through to in-service qualification demonstration. |
| | | | | | | Our Software Engineering & Assessment Capability can be coupled with ILS & Dependability to ensure that software is given consideration (Supportability Analysis for Software - SAS). |
